Conservation Commission approves MassDOT intersection mitigation plan

Conservation Commission · Meeting of March 30, 2026

Webster Conservation Commission approves amendment to MassDOT intersection project. The board unanimously approved an amended order of conditions for the I-395 Exit 3 intersection improvements after the contractor filled approximately 2,151 square feet of wetland; the mitigation plan requires creation of 4,000 square feet of new wetland with restoration connecting hydrologically to the existing brook system. The Commission also issued orders of conditions for three additional applications: a new accessory dwelling unit at 67 Wawela Park Road after boathouse demolition; a new house at 11 Pavilion Avenue with a 24 foot by 8 foot lake-side deck; and a retail and auto service station at 415-431 South Main Street.

Four applications were continued to April 13 for further review.
