Conservation Commission · Meeting of May 12, 2026
Webster Conservation Commission clears Bates Grove Road shoreline project. The commission unanimously issued a negative determination of applicability for a shoreline stabilization and dock project at 3 Ernest Road proposed by Chad and Melissa Sullivan and represented by Jake Szeredy of S&S Outdoor Spaces Inc. The work—regrading an existing slope and installing a new dock landing above the 480 highwater mark—does not fall under state Wetlands Protection Act jurisdiction, though the applicants must obtain a Chapter 91 simple dock permit.
Erosion controls including a turbidity curtain will protect the lake. Two other items were continued to May 26: a demolition and reconstruction project at 88 Union Point Road, and a wetlands restoration update at 71R Minebrook Road.
