Housing Authority seeks EOHLC waiver for IT vendor conflict

WEBSTER — Housing Authority seeks state waiver for IT vendor tied to executive director. The board voted 5-0-0 to request an EOHLC waiver regarding Spy Systems, which provides IT support and camera services and is owned by Executive Director Melissa Morley's husband. Chair David DuPont and commissioners also voted 5-0-0 to hire Attorney Jonathan Driscoll for assistance.
Executive Manager Keysha Roman-Martinez presented findings that switching vendors would require replacing the Authority's camera system and exceed the budget. Commissioner Peter Luchina noted the vendor was hired before Morley joined the Authority.
