Planning Board closes auto body shop hearing, continues Dunkin signs

Webster Planning Board closed the public hearing on a proposed auto body repair shop at 1 Beacon Street, with a decision expected February 23 after all engineering comments were addressed. The board continued review of a Dunkin Donuts signage application at 128, 130, 132, and 138 East Main Street, citing traffic-safety concerns raised by the Highway Superintendent; applicant Sean Donovan agreed to scale back the originally requested six illuminated signs to approximately 9 square feet. Vice Chairman Jason Piader raised concerns that the sign count was excessive.
Four additional applications were continued to the February 23 meeting; the board also approved prior minutes (3-yes, 1-abstain) and automatically approved a wireless communications facility expansion at 6 Goya Drive after the applicant missed the statutory deadline.
