Water Sewer Commission · Meeting of October 1, 2026

WEBSTER — The Water Sewer Commission unanimously approved two sewer utility abatements for customers whose accounts were overcharged due to documented leaks on their properties. For 160 High Street, Commissioner Dan Duteau suggested the abatement be calculated according to Superintendent Thomas Cutler's determination of the customer's average sewer usage; for 26 Granite Street, Vice Chairman Marc Becker motioned for similar treatment based on account-average review. Superintendent Cutler will calculate the specific credits and notify each customer of the amount and their remaining balance.

The commission also unanimously recommended three sewer articles for the Fall 2026 Town Meeting and awarded the fence project at 35 Bigelow Road to GMH Fence in East Longmeadow for $11,495 out of competing bids ranging from $9,200 to $24,000.
