Water Sewer Commission · Meeting of August 13, 2026

WEBSTER — Water Sewer Commission unanimously approved a $1,000 permit fee increase for accessory dwelling units, up from $250 per department. The increase reflected the time-intensive processing of the first ADU installation. Earl Gabor resigned from the board, with Commissioner Marc Becker agreeing to serve as interim Vice Chairman.

In other matters, the department reported progress on the Bigelow Road and Memorial Beach construction projects, targeted for completion by September-October and May 2027; received seven bids for the Aeration Phase #2 project ranging from $4.4 million to $7.1 million against a budgeted $5.1 million; and noted approximately 400 meters remained in the ongoing meter replacement project, with shutoffs planned for September 15 for non-responsive customers.
