Webster Housing Authority unanimously appoints Barbara Avery, a 24-year HR veteran, as the next commissioner to fill a vacancy left by the death of Commissioner Herra. Chair David DuPont nominated Avery specifically for her outside perspective and ability to bring balance to the board. Two other candidates, retired engineer Frank Sefanik and 13-year Golden Heights tenant Rhea Parker, were interviewed but not selected.
