WEBSTER SELECTMEN DISCUSS $71.6 MILLION FY27 BUDGET PROPOSAL

Webster Board of Selectmen discussed the fiscal 2027 general fund budget proposal with school and finance committees, totaling $71.6 million, a 6.79 percent increase over FY26. The proposed property tax levy of $35,502,184 includes a 2.5 percent levy increase and $300,000 in new growth revenue. State aid is projected at $27,974,000, an 11.80 percent increase.
The $29.7 million school budget represents a 7.10 percent increase and includes reduction of three positions due to attrition. Shared cost increases include health insurance at $1.07 million and pension assessment at $625,285.
