Planning Board · Meeting of July 27, 2026

Webster's Planning Board continued an eight-lot subdivision hearing for 70 Gore Road to August 24 after residents objected to density, stormwater and road safety. Engineer Nikita Shiguru, representing applicant Nicholas Hopkins and owner Webster Ventures LLC, requested eight waivers, including a narrower-than-standard road, before agreeing to widen pavement to 28 feet. Resident Johanna Lawrence warned the project "will increase stormwater runoff and other pollution, impacting the water quality of the lake," while Kevin Doherty called several waivers an effort to "circumvent the established town design standards." The board also approved a special permit for a stormwater system at 15 Lakeview after finding impervious coverage at 45.8 percent, above the Lake Watershed Protection Bylaw's 40 percent cap, and closed a hearing on a used-car lot at 56 Main Street.
