Select Board Delays Vote on Used-Car Lot
Select Board · Meeting of August 24, 2026
Webster Select Board stalls a used-car lot bid, pending Planning Board review. The board declined to license a proposed six-to-eight-car dealership at One East Main Street after member Scott said he had "a hard time visualizing eight vehicles being there," sending applicant Gaston back for a formal site plan and special permit. Separately, the board appointed Jason Paulowski to the Zoning Board of Appeals, Sondra Murphy and Abigail Keger to the Cultural Council, and Katherine Picorny to the Historical Commission, all unanimously.
Members rescinded liquor license 09277-RS-1342 from a closed South Main Street restaurant, confirming the town retains the license. The board also opened the warrant for the October 19 fall Town Meeting at Bartlett High School, closing September 4 at noon, and heard that the Nipmuc Ski Club did not accept the town's offer to finish its season at Memorial Beach.
