Zoning Board · Meeting of April 7, 2026

Webster's Zoning Board of Appeals continued a variance hearing and kept a marina expansion's comment period open. The board asked the town building inspector to clarify parking bylaw 650-39 before ruling on Robert and Kathleen Plant's proposal to replace a seasonal trailer with a new house at 7 Indian Point Road, and continued that hearing to May 5. Director of Planning and Economic Development Joseph Wigglesworth also walked the board through a Chapter 91 marina license application for 311 Thompson Road, where a marina seeks to expand from 45 docks to 110 slips.

Kristen Valeri of the Thompson Road Neighborhood Association told the board no approved site plan for the marina's current footprint exists on file and warned "somebody's going to get very, very injured" amid parking along the narrow road. The board voted 4-0 to keep the Chapter 91 comment period open through April 20 and forward testimony to MassDEP.
