WEBSTER — The Webster Conservation Commission voted 6-0 to continue review of a certificate of compliance for an apartment complex at 310 Thompson Road after Conservation Agent Richard Parent documented broken silt fences, stockpiled wood chips and a banned herbicide inside a storage container on site. Parent said he "did not recommend" approval and asked for a month to get the owners to clean up before revisiting the matter August 3. The commission also approved a compliance certificate for 42 Bates Point Road, granted a one-year extension for 124 Gore Road, and continued matters at 71 Minebrook Road and 180 Killdeer Road, all by 6-0 votes.

Separately, Parent reported issuing a cease-and-desist order after unpermitted construction, including a new fire pit and equipment washing, expanded at a lakefront property on South Shore Road. The board also deferred a vote on this year's Environmental Service Award pending full commission attendance.
