WEBSTER — The Webster Conservation Commission voted to let a Lake Parkway homeowner swap a failing septic system for a town sewer connection. Conservation Agent Richard Parent and JRB Wetland Consulting representative Joseph Bellino told the board the project at 44 Lake Parkway sits mostly outside the 100-foot wetland buffer, and members approved a negative determination 4-0. The commission also closed out a years-old clerical error that had attached wetlands conditions to 23 Lakeview Road instead of the correct 21 Lakeview Road, voting 4-0 to close the mistaken order with "no work having been done." Members noted "it would probably be the town who's going to end up paying" the registry of deeds filing fee to fix it.
The board continued three other matters, including an 88 Union Street filing and a 104-106 Lakeside Avenue demolition proposal, to June 9, and heard that an enforcement order has blocked unauthorized timber harvesting at a 114 Worcester Road junkyard property.
