Conservation Commission ties 3-3 on dock permit
Webster's Conservation Commission deadlocked 3-3 on a retroactive dock permit.
Conservation · Meeting of January 5, 2026
Webster's Conservation Commission deadlocked 3-3 on a retroactive dock permit. Commissioners split on approving the pier and dock system at 325 Thompson Road (DEP 323-1296) after Goddard Consulting's Mark Rubin said the docks affect 35 square feet of borderline subject to flooding and 39.3 cubic feet of flood storage. One member who voted no said "we let things go and we let the lake go." Staff member Joey said he had not seen a tie before and would seek guidance on a revote.
The commission reopened the hearing and continued it to Jan. 20. It also continued 10 South Point Road after two recusals left three eligible voters, one short of a four-member quorum, and approved certificates of compliance for 27 Jackson Road and 194 Kilbir.
