Board of Selectmen · Meeting of March 9, 2026

Webster selectmen backed the Webster Lake management plan, including a whole-lake herbicide treatment. TRC Companies consultant Carl Nielsen estimated the treatment at roughly $500,000, followed by $15,000 to $20,000 a year in upkeep. Both motions passed by voice vote, and a member said neither commits town money; work depends on a state grant due in May.

The Board of Selectmen also approved a used car dealer license for 31 Hill Street limited to 16 parking spaces, approved two National Grid capacitor pole petitions, and appointed Barbara Ploss to the Webster Housing Authority. A town official said the budget plan assumes about $1.3 million in free cash.
