Zoning Board · Meeting of October 6, 2026

WEBSTER — The Webster Zoning Board of Appeals voted 5-0 to continue a contested Nipmunk Ski Club zoning appeal to November 4 after a lake resident alleged boat-wake damage to docks and property. Chair Jason Piader told the club's representative he would not approve a continuance "beyond November 4th," extending the board's statutory decision deadline to January 6, 2027. A resident testified her boat's mooring ropes snapped from wake and said "my wall is damaged.

My neighbor's wall is damaged." The board also elected Kathleen Dimmich Mahaffy clerk after member Christopher Daggett resigned the post, directed staff to file state comments on a Chapter 91 marina license for 325 Thompson Road noting marinas are not allowed in that Business 5 district, and closed a public hearing on a variance for a deck at 175 Killdeer Road, with Director of Planning and Economic Development Joseph P. Wigglesworth confirming no abutters objected.
